Branded Merchandise Agency Extends Asia Presence to Improve Factory Direct Relationships

 

Woodinville, Wash- April 21, 2016 — Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, LLC (BDA), the nation’s premier Merchandise Agency™ serving Fortune 1000 companies worldwide, today announced that it has opened a new office in Shanghai, China to proactively respond to its clients’ branded merchandise needs and manage quality control at the factory level.

The new Shanghai office will expand BDA’s global supply chain network and focus on creating stronger direct-to-factory relationships. The BDA China office in Shenzhen opened in 2004 and will continue to focus on hard goods and electronics in the south, while the Shanghai team will manage the majority of the company’s soft goods needs in northern China.

“With this new office, BDA will have more supply chain experts on the factory floor to guarantee the highest possible quality products and service for our clients,” said Jay Deutsch, CEO and co-founder of BDA. “Although we’ve been working in China since the 1980s, this second office will truly up-level our global offerings.”

BDA has changed its business status from a representative office to a wholly owned foreign enterprise to strengthen the company’s ability to do business in China across factory direct relationships, product development, pricing, personnel and logistics.

“Our goals in opening a second office in Shanghai are to improve the overall quality of the branded merchandise we produce, the speed in which to bring those products to market and the additional cost savings passed on to our clients,” continued Deutsch.

BDA Shenzhen will help support the Shanghai team as they transition but the goal is to allow both teams to focus on their respective geographic areas.
