Jay got his start in the sports business as a teenager and hasn’t looked back. He’s a hands-on leader whose passion fills the room. Our head coach and play caller. His vision of BDA Sports as a collaborative partner with our clients touches all aspects of our business.

Steve Avanessian

VP of Client Services

Steve has been instrumental to the continued growth and success of BDA Sports. His leadership is a cornerstone to our marketing relationships with MLB, NFL, MLS, NASCAR, USOC, PGA Tour, NCAA, NHL and the NBA. Steve’s expertise also extends into the entertainment field, having developed partnerships with Marvel, FremantleMedia, Sony Pictures and Fox Studios.

Rob Martin

Chief Operating Officer

Rob brings two decades of consumer and corporate marketing, creative services and organizational development experience to BDA. He leads our marketing strategy, internal creative agency and PR efforts. Rob started his career with the Seattle Supersonics, earning numerous league and ad industry awards, including four gold Clio trophies. 

Fondest sports memory: Attending the 1996 men’s basketball gold medal game in Atlanta, and the medal ceremony that followed
Highlight reel: Played on back-to-back high school state champion basketball teams

Kerrie Ingham

Sr. Director, Team Activation

Kerrie manages our team business for MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL and MLS. Closing in on two decades of experience at BDA, Kerrie is a respected mentor to a growing team of account managers spread across the U.S. Together, they coordinate hundreds of merchandise giveaways and promotions each year to help enrich the fan experience.

Matt Chavlovich

Sr. Director, League Activation

Matt is responsible for leading business development and building relationships within the BDA network of sports clients both domestically and abroad. He previously worked in the sports licensing division of the Adidas group, and as VP of Licensing at Major League Soccer, he was a longtime BDA client. Matt is based out of our New York office.

Renee Sanders

National Account Director

Renée oversees our league relationships with the NFL, NBA, NASCAR and PGA Tour. Along with managing the day to day activities of the sports sponsorship team, Renée is the primary agency contact for Pepsi, Verizon, Mars and other NFL sponsors. Prior to BDA, she was a brand manager at Red Bull Racing and VP of licensing for the NASCAR-focused Henry Licensing Group.
