Company Events
BDA employees redirected their passion for work and harnessed their competitive spirit in this year’s Office Olympics! Teamwork was a key component as participants worked together to compete for the gold. Even employees that weren’t competing in the games came out to the parking lot to grab a bite to eat and cheer on their favorite team.
BDA Olympians were randomly divided into eight teams differentiated by color. Team colors included orange, purple, grey, red, green, black, light blue, and dark blue. Each team created a name and poster to represent themselves in the opening ceremony and showed off their team spirit with face paint, colorful bandanas, and pom-poms!
There was a total of five competitive events including Track and Field, Archery, Tug of War, Cycling, and Synchronized Swivel Chairs. Each team elected representatives to participate in the various events and were given a score out of 10 based on their performance. Bonus points were given to the team with the cleverest and most decorative sign in the opening ceremony, as voted on by a panel of judges.
After a fierce competition, the gold medal went to team Fifty Shades of Purple, which included none other than the CEO himself, Jay Deutsch! Their win was driven by their first place in the Synchronized Swivel Chair event, complete with purple wigs and umbrella props. Also putting up a good fight were teams The Maniacs and Agents of Orange, who went home with the silver and bronze, respectively.
We're so proud of all our BDA'ers for their work-hard-play-hard attitude that made this event a success!
