The San Antonio Spurs looked to BDA to create a gift for Season Ticket Members (STM) to encourage new and existing members to pay for season ticket packages in full rather than deferring to a season-long payment plan. The Spurs challenged BDA to design a unique and exclusive gift to honor Tim Duncan’s retirement from a 19-year career with the Spurs.
BDA leveraged its in-house suite services to produce and kit 6,500 one-of-a-kind Tim Duncan plaques available exclusively to renewing STM. BDA designed Spurs-specific packaging, a custom roll-over tuck end gift box for each plaque with individualized cards, then managed detailed direct delivery to more than 2,500 fan’s homes and/or businesses.
BDA delivered creative, sentimental gifts that connected with Spurs fans and increased the number of season ticket renewal accounts – paid in full – by 32%. The plaques were delivered 6 months earlier and with higher accuracy than the previous STM program. Fans described the plaques as the best gift they’ve received since becoming season ticket members, and publicly thanked the Spurs organization on social media.
